I live on good soup, not on fine words

I've been on a food marathon during Xmas, I ate everything and a lot.
Coming back to LA, I had to do something about it, unfortunately with my job, I can't gain too too much, (no worries, I never starve myself!)
The weather has been really cold, it's seriously freezing, with a mean wind added to it. What the heck LA!? So what's better than cooking a soup?? Yeah, I'm no genius I know, but it's easy, healthy, warm, cheap, so I cooked a pretty good soup with zucchini and tomatoes :)
I had leftovers for few days which was rad.
Plus I thought it will be a great thing to be super healthy before I make some bad decisions on NYE weekend (yeah, I'm going to make my NYE a whole weekend!)

My blog is already a mishmash of everything + I love cooking = I thought it would be a good idea to share it!

Tomato and Zucchini Soup
Ingredients (for 4 people):
6 middle sizes tomatoes
1 big zucchini
1 big potato
1 onion
vegetable stock
fresh chopped garlic
sour cream
any shredded cheese you like
1 big spoon of olive oil
salt, pepper, curry

Chop all the ingredients into little cubes.

Use a big pot and saute onions in oil over low heat until they get translucent.
Once done, add the other veggies, garlic, a pinch of salt, pepper and curry.
Cook everything for about 7min but be careful not to brown the vegetables.

Then add a bowl of vegetable stock and 2 bowls of water.
Cover and let it cook for about 20min.
When ready, puree with a blender.
That's when I add the sour cream, I usually put a lot of it so it's very creamy!
Continue stirring until the soup is hot and well blended.

Serve in a bowl, add cheese, some pepper and croutons if you feel like it!
It's ready!!!

All I Want For Christmas...

...Isn't cheap!!!

a new car (so necessary)

a trip to France (it's been too long)

an ipad

the canon 5D body

acting classes

+
to make sweet sounds

an unlimited credit on topshop.com

But right now I'm sick and going to treat myself with some tea/honey, and Christmas movies. Usually I watch Home Alone, The Nutcracker, The Holiday, The Polar Express, and some stupid but oh so great Hallmark Channel movies.
And until right about now, the only music I'm allowing myself to listen to is strictly Christmas songs! Btw, check this AMAZING song some of my french friends made, I love it so much, makes me joyful and warms up my little xmas heart :)

Baby, baby, baby, ooohhhh!

My dear friend Katie is expecting, very soon, what is gonna be the cutest most spoiled little kid on the planet. I can't wait to meet Mr Carson, and he had a great pre-birth party. Colleen did an amazing job putting everything together and it was just great being all of us girls, so excited and happy for our girlfriend.
Events like this sum up what I'm often trying to avoid: that we are growing up. But just looking at Katie and her tummy gives me the biggest smile and reassures me. I'm fine growing up this way, taking care of serious stuffs (I mean, what can be more serious that a life!) but surrounded by best friends, goofing around and having fun.
Carson is still warm and protected but I can tell he's gonna have the coolest life (he already has the best aunties!)
