#2

Today was a weird and sad day for a lot of people.
Our friend Paul Gray passed this morning at the age of 38. I don't want to say much about it but only share his memory. He was a beautiful soul, I will always remember him smiling and he will be deeply missed. My heart and thoughts goes out to his baby, his wife, the Slipknot guys and all his friends and family. I hope he finds peace where he is.

Appreciate your life, what you have, and don't forget to tell the one you care that you love them!

Far away

ok, I miss France like crazy. I miss some faces, friends and family, I miss the food (especially my croissants and cheese!!), the paved streets, the farmers market, seating outside at a café while watching people and gossiping with a friend. i miss deep talking at some friends flat around a bottle of wine...
I miss everything about Paris: Le Marais, Montmartre, Le Baron, the subway (umm not sure about that haha), the lights, my crazy nights out with Seb or Teki...Paris by night is probably the best thing ever...
I miss Bordeaux and going home on La Victoire street at 6am with some drunk friends and some real talk, La Garonne, the small clubs playing live bands, the rock pubs, the tramway, riding my bike all over the city, driving to the ocean, the brunch on the place Saint Pierre...
I miss the Provence, the smell, the Mediterranean, the amazing landscape, ice creams, random nights on the beach, the sound of the cicadas, BBQ and rosé...

I love my life in the US but being so far from what you always knew and grew up with can be a pain sometimes, people get older and I'm not there to laugh with them and share memories, and also when i go back i sometimes feel like a stranger in my own country... weird feeling.
Oh my this is such a depressing post haha!

BUT i had a great weekend in the United States Of America.
I got my topshop order and I'm stoked about it!
I received this beautiful swimsuit
and this tee
scored!

I also went to see Converge, probably one of the most genius hardcore band, and it was amazing. People were going nuts, it was like a war with a lot of smiles everywhere.
I'm putting a video so you can get a feel of it but if you're not into that kind of music you might get scared and never come back on this blog again...

I got the new Dead Weather album, Sea Of Cowards. It's great, I feel Mosshart sounds more confident, It's heavy, it's spooky, it's sexual but it's not revolutionary and not very different that Horehound. But it's a good dirty rock/hard/blues sounding record and you should give it a try!

Oh and if you live in the Sacramento area, you should go to this tonight!

A weekend wasted isn't a wasted weekend

Not much to say, i'm moving, i'm driving, i'm working, i'm gyming, i'm friendshiping...
and I'm pretty stoked to see Converge tomorrow night in SF!
Have a fun/safe weekend!

Dear mama...don't cha know we love ya?

I hope everybody had a great mother's day, it's supposed to be at the end of May in France, but I still celebrated it today on a golf course, and later I had an awesome meal with a glass of red wine =)
Kudos to all the mamas!

Here is an outfit I particularly love.
I really like this tee, my french love Emma visited me about 2 months ago, we went to Cuffs and she found some awesome men's shirts, she got one with some deers on it, and I got this one. It's long, it's comfy and I like the design. I also got the shoes the same day. If you live in the Sacramento area, you must go to Cuffs! It's a mix of vintage and new clothes, the owner Lacadia has great taste and she might be the sweetest girl in town.

Cocoon

Chanel likes to stick with their winning teams and it's to our great delight.
Vanessa Paradis started to work with Chanel in 1992 when Jean Paul Goude put her in a bird cage, i was fascinated by that commercial as a kid!
She's still here this season, posing with her dear friend Karl Lagarfeld for the new Coco Cocoon handbag collection (line started last winter with Lily Allen), which is supposed to be more "sportswear" and casual than their usual bags. But believe me, if i had the luck to own one of those bags, i'll for sure never bring it to the gym with me!!!

Vanessa is my idea of perfection, i'm totally obsessed with her. She's absolutely gorgeous, with a unique look and the most beautiful gap between her teeth. She sings, she acts, she's sweet and at almost 40, she still looks like a teenager. Oh, and she's married to someone named Johnny Depp but i guess it's only a detail...

My favorite piece of the collection:

Random PS:
Sorry if the blog is still a little "messy", I just started it and I need to figure where I'm heading still and what to do with it. I've been thinking a lot and I've tons of ideas, so it might get more interesting for you to read as well. I'm trying to combine music, lifestyle, fashion, photos and interviews, and I should have some exciting posts real soon. I'm not trying to make it too intimate and to talk about my personal life, but it's a good way to share my favorites and ideas of the moment. This blog thing experience is still new to me but it has been fun and exciting so far. So thank you for reading it, it keeps me going and motivated!

It's D Day!

The new Deftones is out today everywhere and you should all get it. (I just got mine =) Don't download it and go buy it ====> Diamond Eyes

Good music is rare nowadays so we need to support great artists who try to make it happen. I won't write a detailed review because I might have some trouble being a 100% objective and i feel everything has already been said about it. If you want an opinion about it, just go read the reviews on iTunes and you'll know that this record is close to be their best one. The first time i listened to some songs few months ago i was blown away. Chino's voice is pushing it's limits, experimenting new horizons, more focused, the drums are surprising and once again amazing.

I would give a thumbs up to the songs I've Seen the Butcher, Risk and Beauty School, and to The Cardigans cover on the deluxe edition, super Cure-ish.

That's said, you should also check them out live from Texas on ustream TODAY @ 5pm (PST)/8pm(EST), so click click click!

And please don't forget about our dear friend Chi, visit the oneloveforchi site for the latest updates on his condition and/or if you feel like donating. Thanks!

Highway to the sun

I'm so exhausted that typing is requiring me a lot of concentration at this moment. I'm recovering from a fun sunny weekend and my bed feels so good right now.
My life changed a little this week: I GOT MY DRIVERS LICENSE ON THURSDAY!!! I'm so relieved! I drove myself to work the next day, Lil Wayne was blasting and I felt so weird. Such a strange feeling to be driving by yourself for the 1st time and I'm glad at 26 years old I finally know what it is haha!

I went to a wedding on Saturday where I had a little too much fun =) I thought I didn't have a dress (but I later on realized that i totally had one..) so I went to H&M the day before, and it became a nightmare. I couldn't find anything, and when i finally did, the dress was either too large or too small!!
But walking around I found a cute summary dress, a blue jean jacket and a necklace, and I'm so glad i got them. The weather is being really nice, and it makes me wanna buy flowers/tropical clothes. Plus I was looking for a jacket like this one since a long time, and i love the puffy shoulders!

Now I think I'm ready to hit the road to dreamland.... ZZZzzzz
xoxo
