Peace, Love And Santa Monica

I really love taking pictures and I really love Santa Monica. Well, great news, I was there last Sunday! I could walk around all day photographing what I see and feel. I'm in my own little bubble, watching the best movie ever: life. (Ok, I don't think I could be more cheesy than what I just wrote, not sure if I assume this a 100%)

I'm looking forward to be a better photographer, but to be realistic, I just need a little bit of money to buy the Canon 5D I've been dreaming of since last year. Some people say it helps to take great pics...

Santa Monica Pier has a fascinating something. It's full of characters you could meet in a Lewis Caroll story, and has some sort of mystical force who makes me not want to look at my phone to see what time it is. Time stops and the magic starts; the rides, the colors, the ocean smell, kids running around,... I'm also obsessed with fairs and water, so I might have the answer why I love this place so much..!

J'aime vraiment prendre des photos et j'aime vraiment Santa Monica. Ca tombe bien, j'y etais Dimanche! Je pourrais vraiment passer ma journée a marcher pour photographier ce que je ressens et vois. Je suis dans ma petite bulle, regardant le meilleur film au monde: la vie (ok, j'assume moyen cette phrase sortie des feux de l'amour..)

J'espere devenir une photographe un peu calée un de ces jours, mais bon en etant realiste il me faut juste un peu plus de sous pour m'acheter le Canon 5D dont je me reve depuis un an. Il parait que ca aide un peu pour prendre de jolies photos...

Santa Monica Pier a quelques chose de fascinant. On croise plein de gens sortis d'un bouquin de Lewis Caroll et il y a comme une espece de force mystique qui m'empeche de regarder mon telephone pour savoir quelle heure il est. Le temps s'arrete et la magie commence: les maneges, les couleurs, l'odeur de l'ocean, les enfants qui courent partout... En meme temps je suis un peu fan de l'eau et des fetes foraines donc ceci explique cela! Bred, j'ecris n'importe quoi, je vais me coucher!

San Diego Seranade

Last weekend, I did a little bit of tourism. I visited San Diego and it's surroundings for the 1st time and I've to say it was a nice surprise. I don't know why, I was expecting this city less classy and dirtier, and it was totally the opposite. I loved the the architecture, there was water everywhere (water = happy me), people seemed nice (well at the same time I didn't start talking to everybody..), beaches were clean...I felt like I was on vacation for a day. I'll definitely go back especially cause it's so close from my place, and next time I'll push the road trip to Mexico :)

Le weekend dernier, j'ai fait ma touriste. J'ai visité San Diego et ses alentours pour la 1ere fois et j'avoue que j'ai ete agreablement surprise. Je ne sais pas pourquoi, je m'attendais a une ville moins classe et un peu crade, et ce fut tout le contraire. Architecture sympa, de l'eau un peu partout (rien de plus pour me rendre heureuse), gens coolos (en meme temps j'ai pas vraiment tapé la discute avec tout la ville), plages propres... je me suis sentie en vacances l'espace d'une journée. A refaire surtout que c'est vraiment pas loin de chez moi, et la prochaine fois je pense pousser le road trip jusqu'a Mexico :)

Goodbye My Summer Love

Summer is almost over...

WHHHAAAAATTT!!!!!!!!!!! Really? September? Where did my summer go??!

Not that I didn't have a good time those past 2 months, I moved to a new city, got a fun job and met some cool people, but I didn't get a "real" summer time. What I mean by that, is chillin by the pool, the ocean, a lake...(it doesn't really matter where as long as there's some kind of water feeling) with a margarita, the sun in my face, some friends and if possible for a week straight.

I love Summer, I can't get over the sun, I'm obsessed with it. I used to put a sun in each left corner of my drawings when I was a kid. I loved going to school, but during summer I felt free and able to do anything, my friends and I would get together and play until the sun goes down, sometimes until midnight and I thought we were the coolest for staying up late that long.

I also love fall for so many reasons. It's the time of the renewal, the colors are beautiful, you have to go back to school, to your business, with you summer memories in your bag, start fresh while the leaves are falling on the ground. Fall is new and nostalgic.

It's also the best time for fashion. After living almost naked during 2 months, I'm always excited for scarfs, boots, coats, beanies... My wallet is usually not super stoked about it cause I get the shopping fever during that time =)

I think I've already said this, I love looking at fashion blogs and outfits, I just feel weird doing it myself. There's something really "look at me ego trip", but I decided to get over it today.

So I've an outfit! Nothing crazy and it's super cheap. I went to a 5mn trip to Forever21 yesterday, during my rush I saw this dress, or should I say, I saw the shoulders on the dress, and literally grabbed it in 5 seconds. I can't get over those puffy shoulders. So yes, I love this little dress, there's a vintage feeling to it and it's super comfy. Scored!
